Green River Distillery

As one of the oldest distilleries in Kentucky, Green River was founded in 1885 by John W. McCulloch, a man focused on quality and considered a visionary in sales and marketing who traveled the world to promote Green River Bourbon. This resulted in the distillery’s liquid being regarded as some of the best to come out of Kentucky at that time. Sadly, fire and Prohibition took it’s toll on the then extremely popular brand.

Now, over a century later the distillery has been fully restored to it’s former glory and is going from win to win after being recently purchased by the ever-popular Bardstown Bourbon Company. Since the acquisition Barstown Bourbon Company have been focused on restructuring and heavily promoting the Green River brand, and restoring the brand to the fame and popularity it once enjoyed.
